For instance, you can use them like this: make DESTDIR="/usr/local/bin" TEXPATH="/usr/share/texmf/bibtex/bst" install Or you can install it Manually: 1) Untar to the directory of your choice. 2) Build the output filter 'bibdb-filter'. If you have a Make which allows implicit rules, run 'make bibdb-filter'. If not, run 'lex bibdb-filter.l' followed by 'cc -o bibdb-filter lex.yy.c'. 3) Put 'bibdb' and 'bibdb-filter' somewhere in your $PATH. 4) Put 'dbalpha.bst' somewhere in your TeX path. ***** USAGE Usage: bibdb [-e encoding] [-p preamble] file -e Specify the encoding used as in iconv(1). Defaults to iso-8859-1. -p Add a preamble to the generated file. For example -p "<\!DOCTYPE bibliography PUBLIC \"-//OASIS/... >". -v Specify the version of docbook. Defaults to docbook4. -v 5 will change to docbook5. file If 'file' is a LaTeX generated .aux file or a LaTeX .tex file, only generate entries for those present in the LaTeX source. If 'file' is a DocBook .xml file, only generate entries for those present in the DocBook file. It looks for .bib files in the directory holding 'file'. If 'file' is a BibTeX .bib file, generate entries for the entire bibliography file. ********** KNOWN BUGS - Does not replace '<' and '>' by the XML entities '<' and '>'. - Replaces '~' in URIs as if they were insecable spaces. - Loads of error messages if your BibTeX files use the @preamble or the @string constructs. ******* WEBSITE http://houqp.github.com/bibdb/ ****** AUTHOR Sylvain Schmitz Copyright (c) Laboratoire I3S -- http://www.i3s.unice.fr ********* MAINTAINER Qingping Hou ******* LICENSE Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions: The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.
